All images and text © ADRIAN WINTER 2008.

These images were all made in 2004 at various sites around Morecambe Bay in Lancashire. Morecambe Bay is one of the most important sites for over-wintering waders in Europe containing significant numbers of birds such as curlew, redshank and oystercatcher. The spotted Redshank was just a bonus! Avocet are continuing their expansion and are breeding now at Leighton Moss.
