Welcome to my web site. I graduated with a first class honours degree in Wildlife Photography from Blackpool College of Art in 2006. I was also delighted to win a "Best New Blood" award at the D&AD Congress06 Exhibition. Below you will find examples of some of the work I produced during the three years of the course, both for college and for myself. There was to be a big emphasis on bird photography but as the course progressed my interests moved away from what is conventionally understood to be wildlife photography towards what might be called, for want of a better term, fine art. You can follow that journey in the college projects pages in particular. A common thread however remained through all my work and that is the desire to make visual representations of nature in all of its manifestations.

In 2004 I was accepted by the stock agency Alamy Images as one of their contributing photographers. You can see the images I have available at Alamy here.

I was highly delighted to win the digital, "bird behaviour" category in the International Wildbird Photographer 2004 competition. I was also runner up in two other digital categories: "patterns and composition" and "best portfolio". My winning shot was of black-tailed godwits fighting seen below in the waders gallery. The runner up shots were all of knot that I made during a 1st year college project. A great confidence boost and some excellent Swarovski binoculars into the bargain!
