The Annex(e) [the annexe has now become the main building]

To mix a metaphor from architecture and politics I feel the need to create a space to explore ideas which may or may not have a relevance to 204 but which have a relevance to me, in the wider scheme of things.

Many of these are recurring themes in the context of previous logbooks and my thought and artistic practice (such as it has been) over the last 20 odd years.

Little by little the pieces seem to be falling into place.

E. M. Forster said, "Only connect" and he was right, though he meant human relationships and I'm talking about ideas.

If something keeps ferreting about in one's mind for years on end, resurfacing in different guises with different slants, depending on one's current mind set and preoccupations, then it must be important and should not be ignored. Often it takes looking at something completely different to get back to where one started. (synectics?)

Just returned from the visit to Tate Modern which has acted as some sort of catalyst. It was like the visits to galleries I used to make as a child when I didn't know much about art but had the idea that Art was important and exciting and magical.

One such visit was to an Yves Klein exhibition at the Tate.
